Kuma without question.

Obito was a child who lost his crush and completely understood why it happened and even said it was necessary. Spent the next 17 years trying to create a dream world where he can live with a fake 13 year old copy as a 30 year old.

How does that dumb shit compare to being born a slave, tortured daily, watching your people die, getting framed, hearing your childhood friend die over a phone, and getting your body taken from you?

Obito lived through a war before he even hit puberty, sacrificed himself for his best friend and love of his life, survived in a heavily debilitating state just to see his best friend slay his love.

He realized what the world was which imo shows exactly how traumatic this was and how traumatic being a child Shinobi was.

Kumas is sad but I think Obito had it worse. His was much more visceral

Is this a spite post?
Kuma - Born a slave, watched his father murdered in front of him, hunted like a dog, had his best friend and woman he loved kidnapped then killed, bro raised her daughter only for her to get afflicted with a deadly disease and Kuma had to become a cyborg slave to save her.

Obito - Watched a girl he had a crush on die

If Bonney wasn’t born I would have agreed. Kuma at least had someone to live for.
In Obito’s case, an orphan kid who attended war at the age of 10 or so, then witnessed his best friend kill Rin, and all that happening with him declared as a dead person
He was forced to live like a shadow more or less, and this one event would break the soul of anyone (especially a child)

From that point there was no going back for Obito, reality shattered his mind, and at such a young age

Kuma even as a slave was blessed with loving parents and friends, and although misfortune hit his loved ones he could still always commemorate their memories. Bonney too eased his existence

Very good points. Isolation and loneliness is such a prevailing theme in Naruto as to why some characters go to the edge

Obito has no one in his life after Rin died. Kuma always had friends to support him or a responsibility to take care of (Bonney) which came as a joy.

The best Obito had would’ve been returning to Konoha but there’s nothing in it for him anymore.

Yupp, Kuma’s blessings always counterbalanced his tragedies
-Loving parents
-Belief in savior god Goofy
-Ginny’s love
-The love of Sorbet citizens
-Healing the elderly and receiving their blessings
-Dragon, someone he can count on :kappa:
-Vegapunk, Borsalino, Sentomaru
-More importantly, Bonney

His tragedies are fucked up too but there was always light in his life
Obito had jack shit lol

Obito’s life went so far down the well, Madara put an anti suicide seal on his heart and Obito knew about it. Connecting the dots, that means Obito actively tried to kill himself before.

he has nothing to do or anywhere to go but forward to create a new world.

Kuma had options.
Obito, ironically, was a slave to Madara’s plan

kuma saw both his parents and wife die was a slave spent his entire adult life fighting wars and having his body turned into a machine all while looking for a cure for his daughter's deadly disease.
But hey obito saw the girl he had a crush on in 4th grade die

Obito, there's nothing more tragic than to be born into a world all alone and when you finally get something to hold on to, it's destroyed right before your eyes, and I'm not talking about Rin specifically, but also Kakashi killing her, Minato's absence. It's such traumatic event, that you lost all your beliefs, hopes, dreams.
Kuma was born into slavery, but he always had something or someone to hold on to, his father, Ginny, Dragon, Vegapunk, Bonney, so he never really lost his hope and his dreams for a better world.
Obito lost everything, he had no one, nothing but his hate.

Well on topic, my vote goes to Obito, kuma enjoyed at least half of his life even if he had terrible one for the most part, he had friends and all, could've even married ginny but didnt since he is a dumbass
While obito had shitty life from beginning being "Talentless" uchiha, mocked by others and then just losing everyting and being in living hell until he realizes what he has done and dies

That does not to compare to being born a slave and subjected to starvation and torture on a regular basis with your family, and watching your family get murdered. That alone is much worse than Obito growing up safely in a village, joining a good team and watching your crush die on a war. Once again, Obito understood why it happened and that it was necessary. Everytime Kuma picked himself up, tragedy struck to fuck everything.

Obits went through it once when he was 13. Kuma experienced it dozens of times from the day he was born.
