This page has been rent-free in my head for the last few months.
It establishes a few things:
1) the sorcerers on the protagonist's side do not know what the fire is/there is no historical info on the ability
2) the fire potentially has enough power to end the battle quickly, to the point that Kusakabe thinks it's pointless to make plans for since they would be dead anyway if Sukuna used it (this is a surprisingly brain dead moment from Wusakabe ngl)
3) Kusakabe's dialogue potentially implies that even current Yuji cannot tank the fire
4) most importantly, Gege has not forgotten about it (you never know with him these days lol)
This naturally raises the question, if Sukuna has something that the sorcerers have little intel on that could potentially overwhelm them quickly, why isn't he using it?
I held the belief that Sukuna was not using the flames so that he could "play with" the sorcerers and see their whole potential.
But I'm starting to think there might be something deeper going on.
