Welp that makes sense! Like how the Devil can grant your deepest, darkest desires especially for power/wealth/fame and other vices and the monkeys paw consequences of wishing for stuff like that too! Devil fruits have their "curses" after all ofc!

I wouldnt be surprised if Zoans are the key to the origins of DFs since they have their own sentience and Luffys DF is actually a Zoan now too ofc.

Its like the theories of Zoro, Sanji and Usopp manifesting their own devil fruits into the One Piece world with their own abilities and wills too, maybe even Nami and Franky could do the same potentially? Brook? Jinbei? Not for them to eat/gain but inspiring their creation somehow?

He like Kaido when fight first start he know he going to heal so he don't give a fuck .
Then again this also luffy so if want to hit you he going to hit you lol .

He does care about not getting the job done/letting them escape though, which is what the conflict actually is.

Oda said that no one got it right about what the One Piece is. And I never see someone propose my wishing well theory. And the reason is very obvious. Oda explained what DF are only in chapter 1070

It honestly makes so much sense and yet feels so simple and obvious that Oda would actually do that too! Thematically it really fits into the values of OP and what Oda has tried to express, I like that a LOT!
