Base Lucci handled non-gear Luffy and Franky at the same time on Enies Lobby but also didn't beat Luffy in hybrid while Luffy was outside his gears, your argument makes no sense.

I wonder if Usopp and Van Augur will have a brief encounter in the next chapter or so.

I don’t think Usopp is ready for Van Auger. However, Van Auger will be Usopp’s opponent so I hope he sees how dangerous the former can be. I’m hoping Elbaf has some good Usopp growth and feats. Oda’s been treating him like a clown for too long.

Zoro was fighting Lucci with 3 swords and CoC just some chapters ago.
It's clearly damage control at this point, c'mon.

Oda's drawn like 3 pages of that fight and all of them were more like "status updates" rather than actual combat.
And atp, after watching Zoro being stalled by bums like Apoo for ~10 chapters, just moments before he fought Kaidou & Big Mom... i really dont care for off paneled scaling as well.

He could've drawn Zoro using CoC/KoH this chapter too, but he didn't.
The dialogue really feels like the fight's about the get wrapped up within the next few chapters or so & probably with a single attack like Killer/Apoo.

I was worried Oda was going to have Zoro struggle a little against Lucci for the tension. This chapter proved that Lucci has 0 control on when the battle is going to end. So this chap is actually good for us

Jinbe must come for a specific reason. Maybe Lucci creates an opening by attacking Jinbe to distract Zoro.
