yuji's soul right now is beside megumi's. yuji transferred his soul im megumi's body, to woke him up (poor megumi's body right now has three souls - his own, sukuna's and yuji's).
so sukuna sliced only yuji's body, empty vessel. yuji's soul still alive within megumi's body. he can return to his body and heal it. but yuta doesn't have that privilege.
they both got hit, but yuji's soul remain intact. and if it was really conceptual slash, well, then yuta is finished and yuji will survive

You’re not wrong but I mean even Gojo was trying to save Megumi too. And he said at the airport he left Shoko to tell Meg about Toji.
They should let him die for the sake of saving Japan but Yuji and Maki would never let that happen. Maki whip Yuta into following their course of action too and Hakari just a bum.
