What do you think could happen to give him a "good ending" from a realistic perspective.?
There's no good ending for Kizaru, either he lives as an admiral with the scar of killing his friends, or he gives up everything he's worked for all his life to save his friends and maybe even loses his life in the process. Either way, he will lose.
Imo Kizaru is the most interesting character in this arc, it's impossible to predict what he will do.

Legitimate resolve to fight Luffy the next 10 minutes properly, but betray the WG/Gorosei and possibly sacrifice himself to allow Bonney and group to escape once he hears VPs message.

I entirely believe the message is what is going to send him over the edge.
also, 5 gorosei but only 4 people able to fight them: Luffy, AR, Dorry, and Broggy

the good guys are down one person

hmmmmmmmm

Kizaruber Eats

THE KIZARUBER EATS, THE KIZARUBER EATS IS REAL!
I don't want it to happen either, if the 5 gorosei were to face Luffy I hope he gets clapped otherwise this would be an actual series jumping the shark moment
Jumping the Jinbei*

At this point, he would be doing somersaults/flips over said shark then turning it into accordion and playing it.

I have a big feeling killing VP sealed Kizaru's fate in the end. Hopefully we at least get a kaido/senor pink sized FB before it happens that really completes his character arc as a marine with "unclear justice". Like Kuma, theres just a ton of potential for subtle characterization, but you dont need a 10 chapter flashback to tell it with Kizaru either.
