In almost every Saga, there is a Major Conflict/War, but We could say that there are Three that Stand-Out from Rest
01. Marineford War ---> Served as Pre-TS or Paradise's Final War
02. Onigashima War ---> Served as Post-TS or New World's Final War (Before Endgame Started)
03. Final Saga War (Upcoming) ---> Serves as Final War for entire World & Story in General
However, there is something that went Unnoticed by Fans,
Throughout Majority of Pre-TS, SHs were Defeating Villains that WG are Glad They were Defeated, in other words, SHs were being Pirates but without Angering WG
Even when They Defeated Crocodile, He was considered a Traitor & WG would have Removed him from Shichibukai if They knew his Plans
But in Second-Half of Pre-TS, SHs Started picking Fights that bother WG & eventually Oda led Luffy to Marineford War
They were Wars against:
Cipher-Pol 9 ---> Led by Spandam
Thriller Bark Pirates ---> Led by Moria
Impel Down ---> Led by Magellan
Marine HQ ---> Led by Sengoku
So even though Luffy didn't Necessarily Fight or Defeat All these Four, but They were created to be Four Leaders of Pre-TS Major War.
Now if you go to Post-TS, We know that Onigashima War technically Started since Punk Hazard, and what's Interesting is that Oda used Same Formula as Pre-TS
Kaidou was obviously Sengoku of this War (Except this Time, Luffy Won The War & didn't Lose)
What about it's Moria? Villain Defeated before Kaidou
What about it's Magellan? Villain who Failed to Catch an Escaping Luffy
What about it's Spandam? Coward Villain who caused lot of Suffering
They are none other than Doflamingo, Big Mom & Orochi
And these represent Three Leaders of Factions that Luffy had to encounter before Finally Fighting Beasts Pirates
