....yes? Good or bad motives, thats exactly what the story is showing lol, most people understand that regardless of what you think about Shanks, he clearly has plans for Luffy (again, can be good, can be bad, can be morallt grey)

He stole the Nika fruit, clearly knew what it was when he fed it to him since he recognizes his poster, and ONLY just decides to go after One Piece after seeing it.

Once again, this arc is showing that Luffy's heartbeat powers ancient tech, its not that hard to imagine that Nika is needed to power something (i.e. One Piece if its a weapon or tool or powerful object).

If he retconned one, he could start retconning others too.

If black blades are only related to haki then roger, xebec and WB should have one too.

If black blades are related to demon stuff since zoro will have one and is currently linked with hell, mihawk has imu eyes and gorosei are with imu then ryuma must have been linked to it aswell...
