Roshi was also 100% weaker too. He only won cause his legs were longer, but Goku's stamina was absolutely nuts. In a no holds barred fight, I think Goku takes it.
And we never really see a weaker but more skilled fighter win.
Tien going from Crane to Turtle was nuts. It's maddening such a cool character got dropped in the Saiyan saga lmfao.
Piccolo COMPLIMENTING Krillin is so fucking awesome. "So the earth won't be that easy to conquer" after beating Krillin.
Dude gets mad respect.
Seeing all the Dragonball cast being useful and recurring characters to help Goku solve whatever his newest issue is, is probably the one aspect that Toriyama dropped that I wish he didn't. Korin is introduced at like, chapter 90. Doesn't make a come back until like, 160 in the Piccolo Daimyo arc but plays a major role again.
Just classic.

They draw their Power from Afterlife, this is why Nusjuro is using Freezing Blade just like Brook
And We've already seen Oda's Idea of Hell with Impel Down
Five Gorosei = Five Levels of Hell
Imu = Secret Sixth Level
We just need to Match them with Gorosei Powers
Level 1--- Crimson Hell --- Full of Poisonous Spiders & Sharp Blades/Needles --- Saturn
Level 2--- Wild Beast Hell --- Full of Wild Beasts as Name Suggests --- Mercury
Level 3 --- Starvation Hell --- Desert-Like Place --- Jupiter
Level 4 --- Blazing Hell --- Extremely Hot Place --- Mars
Level 5 --- Freezing Hell --- Extremely Cold Place --- Venus
So their Power Ranking makes Perfect Sense
And then Strongest of them is Secret Sixth Level --- Eternal Hell --- Imu

It should also be Noted that since They represent Levels of Hell just like Impel Down

So Gorosei & Imu's Immortality is probably similar to Hawkins DF
Meaning as long as their Equivalent of "Prisoners" Exist, They can never Cease to Exist (Cannot be Damaged)
