I think Venus actually has a Kokuto instead of simply Hardening his blade because I feel like Oda would have shown us a panel of him applying CoA to his sword to avoid any confusion. Your casual OP fan isn’t gonna remember Venus polishing his sword in the background in one panel from hundreds of chapters ago, so a lot of people will read this chapter and assume he has a Kokuto since we never saw the sword transitioning from normal to black
