Questions & Mysteries So is Zoro's Blackbeard matchup Shiryu or Aokiji?

Shiryu. Aokiji definitely isn't, and he may not even fight the Straw Hats.
I mean, literally everything about Shiryu screams "Zoro matchup":

- He is a swordsman. Zoro is aiming to become the World's Strongest Swordsman.
- Zoro, like Mihawk, believes that "scar on back is swordsman's greatest shame". Shiryu is a backstabbing little piece of ****.
- Zoro's main weakness is his lacking Observation Haki IIRC. Shiryu's Devil Fruit allows him to hide even from Observation Haki users, to the point that only Garp was able to notice him on Hachinosu.
With Cross Guild in the mix I think Zoro fighting Mihawk and not Shiryu is a valid take.
Cross Guild canโt carry an arc on their own, they are going to be involved in an arc with other enemies.
Zoro vs Mihawk vs Shiryu could be a 1 vs 1 vs 1 tbh, where youโd expect Shiryu to drop out first.
Or maybe even Mihawk beats Shiryu before the Zoro fight, and the purpose of the invisibility fruit is to hype up Mihawkโs CoO (Clairvoyant/Hawk Eyes) and show the level Zoro needs to meet. Say Mihawk one-shots invisible Shiryu with a bounty in the multiple billions, that would be a fair hype moment.
Obviously if Zoro does fight a Blackbeard then itโs going to be Shiryu, but with the great war being shaped up to involve different sides thereโs room for some mixing for the matchups.

Eos Coby = admirals >> Mihawk <= Zori. So I don't know how losing to Coby is supposed to be bad when he will be far superior to zori's rival helmeppo.
