After the godvalley flashback, i am 100% convinced that the propaganda on rocks being evil is fake and that he was actually a chill guy, with a personality similar to luffy's.
The sucessors for roger crew are the red headed pirates: all male crew, all haki man with no DF and will reach laugh tale.
When you stop to look at the paralels between SHs and rocks, it's hard to miss:
Luffy=Rocks: Strongest of their time, living legend, always make people wonder how they managed to assemble so many monsters under them.
Zoro=Whitebeard: Supreme grade sword wielders, World's strongest title and boost their respective captain fame by making people wonder why they submit to them(unsure if it will be his own swords turned black or if he will get other supreme sword)
Sanji=Shiki: Perverts, leg themed fighters and most feared by marines(no idea how tf sanji will do it, but it paralels with his line during the end of thriller bark and shiki's fame after raiding marineford)
Nami=LinLin: Weather related powers, main female of the crew and conqueror haki user(yes, nami as a conqueror sounds like bullshit, but she will have it just like usopp and sanji)
Jinbe=Unnamed fishman dude: both are fishman.
Hancock/Yamato= Gloriosa: Conqueror haki user, princesses and snake themed.
Robin=Stussy: Both worked as stealth agents with quick assasination skills, mythical zoan users(yes, Robin is a mythical zoan aswell, flower fruit allowing her to create giant demon clone out of nowhere makes as much sense as luffy's snakeman lol).
Chopper=Kaido: Youngest in the crew, deep connection with the main female crewmember and considered beasts.
Franky=Wang Zhi: Armored warriors
For now, those are the parallels.
