I would go with Cross guild lol.

Xebec = Buggy (King of the world not pirate king)
WB = Mihawk (World Strongest title holder)
Shiki = Crocodile (Looking for some weapon lol)
That old woman = Boa
Kid Kaidou = weevil/Doffy

The fact that two morally good characters who were constantly at odds teamed up to fight Rocks says a lot about his character.

this is like if Law and Koby teamed up to fight Luffy. Chances are Luffy is in the wrong

actually we did literally see this in PH. Luffy, Law and Smoker all teaming up to take down a POS.

Buggy is a gag character as far as we know(i don't think oda would have the balls to reveal xebec as gag after hyping him up with rocks crew introduction), buggy final act will be when he sits on top of the empty throne and become "king of the world" through that

Yes, but since he was the captain of a crew full of yonkos and fought garp + roger, it's only right that he was a monster.

Being a gag character would destroy his hype + how would oda come up with a reasonable explanation for roger and garp teaming up vs xebec?

Neither roger nor garp ever fought to free a single slave lol, garp in particular is far from a good character.

If there is anyone from the old gen that was a genuinely good guy that would be rayleigh and WB

I can't agree with you... so far, Luffy was shown to perfectly mirror Roger (the EXACT same dream, the same recklessness, mirrored scenes in the manga, etc.). A lot of parallels can be made between any pair of crews, but Luffy and Roger are too matched to ignore.

The Roger Pirates weren't an all male crew (Toki) or DFless (Buggy). We also don't know every member of Roger's crew or the Red Hair Pirates, although Shanks already mentioned that the ability to swim was important to a pirate, so that may be a principle of the crew (or he may have said it to discourage Luffy to join his crew).

We were literally told Garp and Roger protected the slaves, as well as seen that Rocks didn’t gaf about the slaves in the Kuma flashback

Only his silhouette appeared so far... we still have to actually see his looks, his abilities are an even bigger mystery. His best appearance was when Kaido was comparing the monsters he met in the past with Luffy (chapter #1001), but even then we can't even see his eyes and full body.

He's surely a swordsman, but all I'm saying is that it doesn't deprive him of having a DF.

Rocks were a crew with bunch of DF users and clearly after more DFs as you can see at God Valley which is exactly what Teach is doing.

Saw many people compare Rocks/Rocks Pirates to Buggy, BB, Luffy and ngl its possible but I just want him to be a unique character w/o some fucking parallel for once. Is it that hard ?

When you stop to look at the paralels between SHs and rocks, it's hard to miss:


Luffy=Rocks: Strongest of their time, living legend, always make people wonder how they managed to assemble so many monsters under them.

Zoro=Whitebeard: Supreme grade sword wielders, World's strongest title and boost their respective captain fame by making people wonder why they submit to them(unsure if it will be his own swords turned black or if he will get other supreme sword)

Sanji=Shiki: Perverts, leg themed fighters and most feared by marines(no idea how tf sanji will do it, but it paralels with his line during the end of thriller bark and shiki's fame after raiding marineford)

Nami=LinLin: Weather related powers, main female of the crew and conqueror haki user(yes, nami as a conqueror sounds like bullshit, but she will have it just like usopp and sanji)

Jinbe=Unnamed fishman dude: both are fishman.

Hancock/Yamato= Gloriosa: Conqueror haki user, princesses and snake themed.

Robin=Stussy: Both worked as stealth agents with quick assasination skills, mythical zoan users(yes, Robin is a mythical zoan aswell, flower fruit allowing her to create giant demon clone out of nowhere makes as much sense as luffy's snakeman lol).

Chopper=Kaido: Youngest in the crew, deep connection with the main female crewmember and considered beasts.

Franky=Wang Zhi: Armored warriors


For now, those are the parallels.

Zoro is a mix of both Whitebeard and Kaido.
Sanji idk how he matches Luffy
And same with Xebec and Luffy.

I guess Zoro is more like Xebec + Whitebeard + Kaido.

And Luffy is Joy Boy Sun God who will defeat Imu. He's above all that.

The Straw Hat pirates and Blackbeard Pirates are inversions of one another. The same would hold true in regards to the Rocks Pirates.

Blackbeard Pirates = the Parallel of the Rocks Pirates

Straw Hat Pirates = the Inversion of the Rocks Pirates
