The Wise Wolf
Ace was being selfish as well. Again, WB told him to leave Teach alone. WB was Thatch adoptive father and knew him for way longer. Ace did not consider this in his thought process.

His hubris lead to the MF war, the death of his father, several siblings and the mental traumatization of his brother
eh no

ace was acting on impulsiveness not knowing outcome

itachi did a cold blooded assassination of his clan with a calm mind and knew what's gonna happen next

certainly not the same thing

WHAT? I can definitely hold Ace responsible. If my kid does something messed up but I cover for them as a duty of being a parent, the kid definitely holds some responsibility for what they did

WB being a good father doesn’t take away from Ace being a selfish idiot
Ace is a grown man he can take his own decisions.

If Ace was wrong to not listen WB, then solution is simple: don't save him. Ace specifically told them to not save him as well.

Its on WB to lie about that first then risk his crew for saving Ace. Its WB's responsibility to take care of his crew, so you should blame WB for anyone dying.

When Usopp disrespected Luffy, Luffy left him behind. WB could do the same.

With a calm mind? Did you miss the part where Itachi was crying?

Especially since now we know Whitebeard did not do the same for Oden, and wanted to correct his mistake.

Yeah, making decisions without the consideration of those close to you is being selfish.

congrats, you’re agreeing with me again
Nope. What Ace did is similar to what Usopp did on Water 7.

Ace never apologized like Usopp to get saved or take him back.

Ace still told them not save him.

Its captain responsibility at that point. WB could leave Ace for not listening orders and shouldn't put his crew in danger for Ace. WB decided to lie about it that he ordered Ace to go after Teach, so at that point, Ace can't be blamed, its on WB. You can argue WB's decision to save Ace or not, Ace is not the captain, WB is.

Itachi was only allowed to save Sasuke. Also irrc in the novels he only killed his family and his gf
Itachi chose corrupted goverment, with no names instead of his family. Then he turned his own brother into criminal. Itachi is worst brother, he is not even good, not saying about best!

Itachi choose the lives of hundreds of thousands over his clan*

the story literally lays out the scenario. If a coup had broken out a larger war would’ve occurred, resulting in pretty much the end of the leaf. The Uchiha would’ve eventually gotten killed, including Sasuke

If I chose, I would chose my family all day every day, besides those thousends eventually died anyway.
