He clearly got better in how to handle the aftereffects ,like he got better in controlling with G4 after his training in Udon.
But the downsides are still there i think .

This downplay of Gorosei hype is understandable.

Since we always thought that the only groups of OP Top Tiers were just the Yonkous and Admirals, when a third group of supposed Top Tiers appears, it seems strange.

It’s not the existence of a third group. It’s the idea that this group has sat at the top stressing about every new change in the world:
1. Crocs defeat
2. Blackbeards growth
3. Whitebeards death
4. Onigashima War

And knowing that these 5 would be able to handle everything makes the story feel real lame
