1. The raising sea levels or however it is done, if Vegapunk's message is true about the world sinking into the sea...
Is this the All Blue that represents Sanji's dream? If everything sinks, the giant blue water body that encompasses all emerges...
Wouldnt this be the end of the world, in a way?

Main course

2. The final villain. The ancient battle that Elders want to bring to its conclusion is hinting at their ultimate enemy.
No, it is not the Sun god. The limitless supply of mother flame also hints at this nemesis of the ancient king Imu.
Such, fire-based, firepower could be harmful to the final villain and coincidentally, Luffy is also developing fire-based powers.
Both his brothers also share the same fire-based logia abilities...

I suspect this is none other than the rumored sea god that is mentioned here and there throughout the story.
It has to be from a much more ancient era than than the void century and the squabble of 20 kings against the Ancient Kingdom.

This villain probably predates it all and has been imprisoned all this time. East Blue and the first 100 chapters are the core of the story.
The relevant players are introduced there. And who is the main villain of East Blue? Fishmen!
The hatred towards fishmen probably comes from the fear of this ancient Sea god who once terrorized the world.

Imagine if his water manipulation abilities are on a complete different level compared to Arlong, Hody and even Jinbe...
While everyone is made of water and the world sinks into it, this Sea god could truly be the next near-omnipotent Enel-like figure.
And since water manipulation is a racial ability of fishmen instead of DF-given ability, not even haki could potentially stop this ability...

And Luffy would once again get the chance to be the only possible savior, just like in Enel's case, thanks to his immunity.
This time he would probably have to burn out all the water out of his body so this Sea god cant manipulate him.
Shriveled-up Luffy hints at this after using Sun God mode.
This would probably end up killing Luffy as without water he couldn't live for long. We saw the dehydration effect vs Crocodile.

3. Where is this near-omnipotent villain all this time?
Well, since he is alive and not known in the modern world, he is either in some kind of slumber or imprisoned somewhere...
I think imprisonment is far more likely than some long-lasting slumber. The possible confinement could be Imu's special chamber.

As it is hinted at Rocks in Impel Down, that he is frozen and saved for the future, the same could be true for this sea god...
However, Imu's cell is too risky, IMO. Water is nearby and the whole building is of a more recent age compared to this individual...

He must have been imprisoned in a far more ancient times, before Imu and the union of 20 kings.
Probably imprisoned by Ancient Kingdom. So, where would you imprison an individual like this, who controls water freely?
As far as possible from any water source - the Moon! It just happens that near-omnipotent for-his-time Enel ended up on the Moon.
The man with a near omnipotent powers and a god complex ends up meeting the true near-omnipotent god and sets him free?!

What are the chances that Enel is the one who releases the imprisoned Sea God on the moon and together, they return to take the Earth?!
This would be Kaido+King going to Marineford alone but on steroids.
The man who controls all the water and floods the world combines his powers with the one whose powers are conducted through the water?

Oda said in an old sbs that VP gonna explain what is the df. But he didnt give a full explanation. I believe his conclusion about the world sinking is linked to df because he said the mother nature (ocean) hates the df.
Why the mother nature is the ocean? Because df user can't touch in a body of water without be weakened.
It might has a god of the ocean

Great theory @nik87.

But I don't think that Sea God/World Serpent is sealed in the moon. 1st, it's way too similar to the Juubi plot in Naruto and 2nd, I rather believe the World Serpent is sealed in the Red Line.

If you look closely at the Red Line, it looks like a serpent biting its tail - Ouroboros.
Ouroboros portrays the cycle of destruction and rebirth. I think this wasn't the first time the world was flooded like this. What if the World Serpent was used to wipe everything out, only to recreate everything from scratch?

Maybe that's what happened after Joyboy was killed. The united kingdoms needed to wipe out the remaining ancient kingdom - Wano, Water 7 and other islands were part of it. It's confirmed both Wano and Water 7 have ruins deep into the ocean. It isn't farfetched to think that the ancient kingdom was a super continent and all those countries were actually part of it.
They simply couldn't allow to lose their power, that's why a huge portion of the ancient kingdom needed to be wiped out, along with the majority of the population.
What currently happens at this timeline? Countries start rebelling against the WG, the Revolutionary Army starts to get even more influence and power, and even more people start losing trust to the WG. They are in a veeeery dangerous position to face a rebellion of countless countries and being overthrown by them. So they'll try to do the same again - they have no choice.

Either way, it's been used to destroy and restore the world again. Winners write the history, so nobody truly knows what will happen if WG succeeds this time as well - just like 800 years ago. Thus, the Ouroboros metaphor is quite fitting. I mean, look at the Red Line again. If this isn't a reference to Ouroboros, the serpent biting its own tail, Idk what should it show instead.
Post automatically merged:

For now, I'd say Imu is still the final boss because the existence of the World Serpent has yet to be proven right. Even if that serpent exists, we need to see if it will truly be the final villain or just a mindless world ending creature being controlled by Imu or if the serpent is intelligent, has a personality and is malicious.

This sounds way too much like Naruto for my liking.

Blackbeard being the final villain sounds a million times better imo

Imu is just a more buffed up and a more competant Orochi that's also made for someone else to take down, probably by Dragon/Sabo.

Zoro & Sanji discussing Existence of God
WB discussing Existence of God
Dorry/Brogy mentioning their God who grants Divine Protection to whoever He wants to Win a Duel
The Religious Mihawk Introduced in Chapter Titled "Storm", as if He is a "Storm" sent by God
A Storm appearing to force Straw Hats to meet Brook, something that Roger Pirates couldn't do
Robin explaining that Pirates put Offerings in Barrels for Sea God
Luffy started his Journey in a Barrel (He is a Sea God Offering)
Luffy "Mysteriously" gained Power-Up to Defeat Crocodile & his Attack was Named "Storm" (Matching Dorry's Words about Divine Protection)
Vander Decken The First met Sea God in a Huge Storm
Sea God in that Story was Drawn as a Storm
Oda drew a One-Shot before One Piece about a God who Controls Fate (Using a Book)
World Government are Building Tequila Wolf Bridge to obviously Prepare for when Islands are no longer Safe
Dawn Island, Drum Island, Arabasta Kingdom, Wano, Zou, Dressrosa ... etc Every Major Royal Family are Living above Sea Level
A Storm saves Luffy from getting Executed by Buggy
Dragon talking about the Wind as if it's a Religion
D. will bring "Another" Storm
Elbaf Celebrate Rebirth of Sun, indicating that Sun once Disappeared & Nika saved the Day
What can Block The Sun? Imperial Clouds, indicating that Enemy of Nika Controlled The Sky & Storms
Zoro Clashed with Shark (Hody), Tiger (Fujitora), Dragon (Kaidou), Next Villain is Devil, followed by God of OPVerse
And i can add dozen other Hints

World Government are like Krieg Pirates & The World is Baratie
Final Villain is their Mihawk

He isn't Trapped, He is already Ruling The Story
As for where He is? Let's just say that there are Three Ancient Kingdoms, not One
One was Destroyed (Just like Birka)
One was Lost (Just like Shandia)
One is Hidden/Isolated (Just like Skypiea)

Final Villain is currently ruling Two of them just like Enel

Shouldn't imu be considering the god/king of the sea though? Their name is the Japanese word for sea backwards and imu is actively trying to raise the sea levels.
Imu's name is the opposite of the sea. Imu is most likely the earth god.
He could be working in favor of the unintroduced sea god or against him.
Depends how it played out in the ancient era...

Vander Decken The First met Sea God in a Huge Storm
Do you remember which chapter this was?

But I don't think that Sea God/World Serpent is sealed in the moon. 1st, it's way too similar to the Juubi plot in Naruto and 2nd, I rather believe the World Serpent is sealed in the Red Line.
Hmm, I don't remember anyone being sealed in the moon in Naruto... What do you refer to?
World Serpent could indeed be a thing but I am not sure if that is the same thing as this sea god.

Iirc Juubi's body was sealed into the moon.
Well, either way, there's definitely a possibility of some godlike creature lurking around. Didn't Skypiea arc mention 4 gods at least? One of the gods was called "sun god" who's basically Luffy/Joyboy.

Great read as always nik.

There were 3 GOATed villains in pre TS - Crocodile, Enel, Rob Lucci

Two of them made their return in post TS, and had some impact one way or another.
Enel (the strongest and most Godly figure amongst them) still hasn't even made an appearance.

Optimism suggests Oda has plans for him, but Loda since Wano is a disappointment. So maybe too much to expect I guess?
