A lot of one piece fans think this is bad and make fun of togashi
Oda has been doing the later from time to time anyway and introduction/re - introduction boxes are a thing without the haki- remark also, so that be still better than readers being forced to micro-analyze every panel to figure out if someone is using haki application x or y.
Just look at the mess of threads and debates the lack of elaboration on Odas part have been created throughout the Egghead arc alone..

Haki is the biggest L Oda took in this manga as mangaka
He introduced pre time skip as an aura like ability that is basically invisible. Than he run in th issue that it's boring power system and to make it visual he turned it visible. Just to fuck that up too
