Speculations Does Oda consider Murakumogiri (WB’s weapon) to be a sword?

I certainly wouldn’t describe it as one, but all that really matters here is if Oda thinks it is.

I ask this because Oda straight up referred to Kamazo’s scythes as swords, and scythes are more dissimilar to swords than bisentos are

A Naginata is a Japanese Samurai blade weapon which is a polearm, not a sword.

It was called Naginata in an SBS and it wasn't corrected by oda so its not a sword

I know that, but the issue is that Oda himself has had characters call a scythe a sword, even though a scythe obviously isn’t a sword

So how can WB be WSM, and Mihawk be WSS?

Either WB > Mihawk, so WB should have both titles

Or Mihawk > WB, so Mihawk should have both titles

Or WSS title really is just about sword skill instead of power level
cause mihawk is only a swordsman & WB was on the pinnacle that rivaled Roger.

WSM is the Person overall

WSS is the Persons skill level with a Sword

so mihawk could be a better swordsman than WB but hes not stronger than him.

According to Road to Laugh Tale (Vol. 2), meitos can actually be polearms, claws, axes or even blunt weapons, like Kaido's club or Kanjuro's brush (yeah, they're meitos, but have no grade). Katakuri's Mogura ("Mole" in the page below), for example, is a ranked meito, but with a still unknown grade. Killer's Punishers are there too.

Considering that, I don't think that Whitebeard can be regarded as a swordsman. If you do consider him a swordsman because he had a meito, then you should consider Kaido and Katakuri swordsmen too.

The issue is moot from the beginning.
No matter what WB uses, he isn't a swordsman.
Anybody can pick up a sword and start swinging it around: Luffy himself did it in Wano, albeit without unsheathing it.
What makes you a swordsman in OP is why you're using the sword, and how. It's identifying yourself with the blade. It's not about the weapon, but about technique and style. Mr. 1 had no weapon, yet he was a swordsman. Zombie-Ryuma was dead, yet still he displayed crafty swordsmanship because his spirit as a swordsman carried through from the afterlife.
WB was a brawler.
BM has a sword homie and throws haki punches now and again, but she is a DF user through and through.
