Even Kaidou let Scabbards attack him , because they know it won't do shit to him... nasujuro recovery isn't which came later on. To the matter of fact , If you believe sanji is so quick why couldn't he dodge Nasujuro turning into Full Zoan and Biting Sanji? Who's fast now? Nasujuro recovered being sneak attack and already intercepted and won the clash , it's sanji who needed help at instance of both offense and defense. First being bonney and Franky Distracting Nasujuro and second being Giants holding down Nasujuro.
And to the matter of fact , Gorosei ain't even scared to take damage , they know they will regenerate.

He was literally under the effects of ceaser's hallucinations. If you look at the last cover story, you'll see katakuri continuing to crack Germa 66 while ceaser hits him with a sneak attack. Literally anyone would've gotten hit with it.
The same thing happened to luffy (A literal yonko) while fighting kaido. CP0 used iron body to hold his arm back via a sneak attack and luffy got cracked right after that.
I mean for fuck's sake people it was literally a plot device so germa 66 could escape WCI. And luffy can awaken.
"Plot device". Oda does do things when it's needed.
- Kata couldn't sense it because Oda wanted germa to escape.
- WB was stabbed for Plot reasons again , Ace plot to be exact and his relation to Roger.
- Luffy was hindered at the final moment because Oda wanted luffy to at a near death phase to awaken.
- Nasujuro was stopped or else he would have killed bonney and franky.
And neat part about these are that , these all are Sneak attacks. It has nothing to do with Nasujuro covering island in seconds , He wasn't using any of his speed over here.
