Exactly the point.
The Thalmor defeated a united empire. The fuck you think will a shattered and divided Tamriel is gonna do against them?
Tell that to Hammerfell. Lol
Also the whole reason the Thalmor was able to defeat the Empire was because the Empire was a centralized power in Cyrodil. The Thalmor do not have the means to conquer and hold every single independent province in Tamriel. Which is why they havenโt fucked with Hammerfell and do not want the Stormcloaks to win the Civil War. On that note:
Stormcloaks winning is their plan. That's why they literally let go of their prisoner Ulfric...
Um, no. The Civil War proceeding without a victor is want they want. They actively state in the dossier that the Stormcloaks winning the war would be detrimental to the Thalmorโs goals.
And this is supported by, once again, the Thalmor actually leaving Skyrim if they Stormcloaks win. On that note:
Sure the stormcloaks winning will result in a TEMPERORY retreat of the Thalmor.
But do you really think they're gonna just leave Skyrim alone?
Something is better than nothing. The Empire winning actively helps the Thalmor because it allows them to continue their occupation of Skyrim. The same goes for a victor-less Civil War. The Stormcloaks winning is the only option that actually forces them out of Skyrim, at least temporarily.
There is no pie-in-the-sky outcome that makes the Thalmor no longer interested in Skyrim lol. You canโt just oppose the literal best option because it isnโt an absolutely perfect outcome. The Stormcloaks winning is absolutely the only option to get the Thalmor out of Skyrim.
Release Ulfric. Let him raise a rebellion by outlawing Talos worship. Watch as the Empire, the only force in Tamriel that can at least match the Aldmeri forces, is weakened by in fighting from idiotic nords. Make the Empire leave Skyrim and Make the nords fend for themselves. Swoop in and defeat the depleted Nords easily.
This is so wrong in so many ways lmfao.
1. Talos worship was outlawed long before the Stormcloak rebellion
2. Once again you cling to this fantasy that the Empire is the only force in Tamriel capable of stopping the Thalmor when a) they are not, and b) they are literally controlled by the Thalmor lol
3. The Empire is already weak as shit, a literal shadow at less than half of its strength from a time where the Thalmor already defeated it.
4. If the Thalmor could just swoop in and defeat the Nords easily, then they should actively be rooting for a Stormcloak victory. But we know specifically from their dossier that
they donโt want the Stormcloaks to win.
If Ulfric had at least a little brain, he'd have waited until the Thalmor was defeated to start his little rebellion.
Defeated by whom exactly? The Empire? lol, no
Literally the ruling faction who you claim can somehow defeat the Thalmor is not even fighting against them. And would not fight against them at its full strength. If Ulfric wants to defeat the Thalmor (he does), he did the exact correct thing, which was to push the Thalmor puppet government out of Skyrim.
There's documents in the Thalmor Embassy that say that the civil war in Skyrim benefits them.
Yes.
That same document says a Stormcloak victory would not benefit them.
A
stalemate benefits the Thalmor. A Stormcloak victory actively hurts them.
The only reason they havent destroyed the Empire in the first war is because they couldnt, and Titus Mede's dumb ass was too hasty with signing the White Gold Concordat.
Lol. They couldโve killed Titus and have been done with it. They won the damn war, they could have done whatever they wanted.
The only reason they didnโt desolve the Empire was because the Empire already claimed rule over all of Tamriel. So all the Aldmeri had to do was claim rule over the Empire and they conquer all of Tamriel immediately.
And then they spent the next thirty years convincing everyone that only the Empire could oppose them since that Fairy Tale allows them to maintain their rule over all of Tamriel.
Dragonborn is out of commission after becoming a servant to Herma Mora like Miraak.
Huh? Lol, no
The Dragonborn can do whatever they want after becoming a servant of HM. And an HM serving Dragonborn is even more powerful than a standard Dragonborn whom the Thalmor also stand no chance against lol.
