Nah man. Goofy has to settle against Akainu.
The only dude who makes goofy sweat and hold his scar in ptsd.
Besides there needs to be a reason and setup for Akainu to fight Topman. If he just decide to fight them, he would do it right now.
I think Akainu and Marines will secede from wg.
And Akainu will lead them on a pirate extermination crusade. At its end, the Marines will face the yonko. Akainu gets beaten and he and the good guys talk. Fuji probably sets up the talks. And then Akainu and Marines join the last battle on the good guys side.
Without some sort of set up like that, I don't see Akainu vs Topman.

Settle what? There’s not really anything for them to settle. Luffy whooping Akainu won’t bring Ace back lol. And really Akainu didn’t even kill Ace on purpose to begin with lol.
Besides, such a fight would be far too serious for what Twika’s character has become. No Nika fight will ever be serious ever again. Oda ruined his own series after all.
That’s what I’m thinking will happen. The Gorosei are planning to sink this entire era and kill literally everyone. That includes the Marines. And at some point Akainu is going to realize that the Pirates can’t be more evil than that lol.
I mean what is Akainu even fighting for if his bosses just intend to kill him all the same? It would take a special kind of delusion (Ryokugyu?) to stay loyal to people who plan to kill you. Really I don’t even think Ryokugyu stays loyal in the end as they’ll probably want to kill him too.
It would be pointless for Akainu to go out exterminating Pirates if the WG already plans to sink all of them and cleanse the era lol.
