Well Kaido only comment about Luffy ACoC when he won the round. Wasn't something on the first hit he got.
And Kaido words to Zoro was ambiguous. He was shocked that Zoro had because the whole fight he didn't showed that he had CoC.
Kaido only commented about Luffy when Luffy used against the fodder knocking him out. So Kaido knew it was CoC. Not sure if he felt or just logic analyzed by what happened. With Zoro we don't have this scenario. The only logical conclusion would be he feeling the CoC coated in his attack. Unless he just felt Zoro using basic CoC.
