Doggy boy won't do that. He is basically a loyal servant.
The most he can do is to ignore opposition to WG and let the opposite faction do what they want.
He is not the character that seeks for world domination (Blackbeard is).
He just want to accomplish all of his task/duties excellently, typical efficient and ruthless manager.

They will defect sooner or later. With the plot kinda heading towards the direction of Luffy/Joyboy being framed as the great evil determined to reinitiate an apocalyptic war, I am inclined to say "later" though.
Don't think it will be a coup in any case. Whatever makes the marines turn against the WG will most likely happen in the middle of the coming chaos when it becomes painfully clear that Luffy's group are the ones standing in the way of mass genocide.

This is my point.
People say luffy has to fight shanks
Which means zoro will fight Ben
But shanks has to fight bb
Which means Ben will fight shiryu
Shiryu has to fight zoro as bb and luffy is the close fight for pirate king
Zoro doesn't have to fight an admiral
But luffy has to face Akainu so zoro will face one
By the same token
Luffy doesn't have to fight buggy but zoro has to fight mihawk so luffy will face buggy.
A battle royal cannot fit these in.

Not all Marines will defect, we have CD lover Admiral GB so at least ge won't be switching sides imo. Akainu will have too much pride to accept his mistakes/faults and will not defect. Fuji will defect along with Smoker, maybe Kizaru too.
WG will have Seras, Gorosei, CP0, Holy Knights and half of the Marines on their side it seems.
