General & Others Oda dropped the ball with Fisher Tiger

When I first heard of Fisher Tiger from Boa Hancock and his exploit of Climbing the red line into Mary Joie and freeing the slaves there I thought the dude must be super strong but then Fishman Island happened. And while Fisher Tiger is a good character I still remain disappointed to this day.

Wouldve been nice if he was a top tier, fishmen could use one. Do you guys think we will ever get a top tier fishman in the story?

To be honest what he achieved is even more impressive considering his strength.

But it would be better both for the character and for the plot if he really was stronger.

Jinbe and Shirahoshi are the closest we'll get to a fishman top tier.

Honestly its a travesty that there is no top tier fishman in the story.

I mean dominated the seas for 100s of years.
I expect atleast
5 High tier character (YC3~YC1+)
2 top tier character (Admiral ~ Low top tier)
1 broken character (PK or PK+) but note he will restricted in some serious way and will give us a feat and we will left with speculation to do

Shirahoshi has a "beyond top tier power" but her power is just commanding others. She's a special case, hardly a top tier in an actual fight.

If Crocodile gained control if Pluton back in Alabasta would he be a top tier? No. He just has a god tier weapon. Thats what Shirahoshis powers are. She controls sea kings but she herself is weak.

Fisher Tiger is THE best damn character in this clown show and if you disagree let’s RUMBLE

But you talked only power level wise.

I can understand your point of view but we have to remember two things :

- it’s a flash back : Oda during flashback is way more shy with power levels and move set than during real action. Oden vs Kaido, Corason death, etc etc. Simple bullets or normal guys can kill too while in the manga it takes 10000 more than that to defeat someone.

Tiger power not being fully revealed isn’t surprising. But we still have accolades, his legend, his comparison with Jimbo Jim (Tiger was stronger) etc etc.

- Tiger death : Tiger was just betrayed by the humans again and he was sad and conflicted. Not the best combo to deliver your best performance. Like Luffy/Zoro in EL etc. Tiger was far stronger than what he showed.

Jimbe put his hands on Strawberry not so long after that and slapped him around.
Tiger would have wasted everyone here if in normal combat mode and if Oda had explored his skill set.

But the guy had damned potential and was YC strong easy

Top tier would have been way too much, but a YC1 level at least would have been nice.

He also got a laughable bounty of 230 millions: It was even lesser than some Supernovae pre TS and almost half or Luffy, Law, Kidd post TS.

I think the story so far has pretty much proven that any alteration of the normal human man is a downgrade.

I suppose the ancient kingdom or whoever specifically bred all those human subraces, especially the fishmen so they're able to survive the new environmental conditions.
