Nah bro that's cap. Kanye and Em still make solid music. Kendrick just makes far better concept albums. I agree with them not counting btw, I don't consider them a part of this race. They're from a prior era, they're not actually competing for the top spot.
i would personally say that the last good Kanye album was Donda and the last good Eminem album was Marshall Mathers LP sequel. So in 2021 and 2013 respectively. Someone like Nas has released 6 solid to great albums within the last 3-4 years. I
I feel like Kanye's reputation and number of people willing to work with him has taken a serious hit.
I agree because of their age they aren't competing the spot.
So again, what are you basing this on? We know for a fact Drake has Ghost writers. So who knows what Drake himself actually writes, add in he’s objectively not a better lyricist than Lamar or Em

And that’s it right there, mfs saying Drake tha best cause he’s popular and makes music for women to shake they ahh too. Which is fine, but in no way does that make you tha best lol

honestly i thought the album was a bit longer than that. I think I confused it with Side B.
One issue I have is that the best tracks of the albums have really good performances from featured artists that overshadow Em to some extent. For a "rapper's rapper" like Em, that's not something I like. If it's a Dre or Kanye album it's expected, but you'd expect Em to have the best performances on the album. On the first MMLP he didn't get overshadowed by anyone except by Sticky Fingaz.
out of the "excellent songs" on Music to be Murdered by, I'd only consider Darkness to be the only solo Eminem song on it. I might go back and relisten to the two albums though now lol

for some reason I doubt you've listened to more than one Nas album.
I disagree I don't think he got overshadowed at all, there were some tracks where other top tier lyricists held their own though like in Yah Yah. For any other rapper including Jay Z someone keeping up with them is a normal thing, for Em we've gotten so accustomed to him bodying everyone that others keeping up sounds odd.
But for example, on you gon learn, Em absolutely bodied Royce on that track. And Royce was not going easy to say the least.
The last time I really felt Em was overshadowed was on Lucky You by Joyner, that was on Kamikaze though.
