Ya they gotta choose between killing/converting if i remember right, unless drag changed something. If i remember right they also have to sacrifice someone if they wanna convert/kill. Allteast the cult do.

ToL is different than normal games.

You start with 2 scums, a few neutrals (some benign and some harmful)

And every other night, scum can convert someone to their factions. If they fail to convert 3 times in a row, a random person will be converted

Did you read the setup? We have one of the two factions. They both start with two members, from NW's post from the wiki. They can convert and kill during the night. One faction can have only 3 members at the same time, the other can have as many as they want, from what I understood. I am not sure about neutral roles though.

Then why you didn't look at Wiki to confirm the powers of mastermind and assassin to see whether they have such ability instead of making a post which inferred you are totally clueless??

It's risky if player who has protect role turns out to be inactive and worst case Sheriff/Paladin gets converted because inactive player doesn't do his/her job.

we don't know if it's cult or unseen and since the cult starts with a random cult member I would have to check every cult role abilities too...

Why force someone to claim asap though? I mean there are a lot of roles that can stop the protects from working too or anything like that. Granted unless the roles changed the jailor could jail the sheriff/paladin and let him investigate.

It's a risky strategy for Night 1 though with no real information.

Well ToL is new for many here and that Wiki link has many long ass content so I can understand that you don't know cult and unseen starts with two members... that's why they have conversions powers..so that they can gain new members.

But then in this post you states something about sacrifice.

They can sacrifice their members. I had this ability in last game as cult leader.

So From where you got this information of them having sacrifice abiltiy when you don't even know how many members cult or unseen has...

I feel like there is no reason to reveal who is the investigative role as that could give scum a chance to kill/convert them. And then they would start feeding us false information or we wouldve lost a valuable asset.

Tho i dont know the intricacies of this specific game mode tho. Can scum convert n1?
