If you look at it in a weird way sword members actual represent the straw hat crew.
For example:
Koby - luffy
Hibari - Usoop (both snipers and use weird amo)
Kenjaku - Robin (both seem to be informative of the world and have fruit abilities that subdue the opponent)
Grus - Jinbe (both control natural elements, jinbe water and grus clay/earth)
Helmeppo - Brook (based on the fact that they don't fight like traditional swordsman in this verse at all. Grus could also be compared to Brook to since one is dead and messes with the souls of the dead while the other puts life into clay so.....
