What's on portrayal in the material are the perceptions and assumptions outsiders have of the Strawhats and Zoro's role among them.

What you illiterate imbeciles cannot seem to comprehend or deliberately leave out is that none of those perceptions and assumptions align with the reality of the SHP inner-workings and hierarchy because they are a crew unlike any other that have no hierarchy below Luffy's captaincy.
True, to a degree.

When there are big decisions within the crew there are 3 people who are consulted and discuss what direction the crew goes. (Luffy, Nami, Zoro), sure there's nothing written down on paper and no Luffy statements (cause his whole schtick is about freedom) however there is responsibilities that the crew takes and acknowledges without it having to be said.

Whether or not vice-captain is an actual title within the Straw Hat Pirates is a moot point. It's still a responsibility that falls onto someone in the likelihood the captain's absent, and that's 100% Roronoa Zoro. It's more accurate to call him the default vice-captain.

what ever you have up your ass that’s making you all pissi don’t try that shit on me you halfwit
I don't have the crayons or the inclination to break this down any simpler, imbecile.

Zoro voices his opinion, just like everyone else. Luffy doesn't value him any more or less than the rest of the crew. He'd go to the depths of hell for any one of them. That's what it means to be a crew to him. That's why the Strawhats are special, because their bonds are as unique and powerful as their captain. They all follow Luffy because believing in his dream gave them permission to believe in their own. Everyone on that crew has a role play in helping Luffy achieve his dream to become Pirate King.

Zoro is not an authority an figure, he's a trusted figure. He's Mr Reliable, and not even Sanji could deny what a kind, loyal, protective and genuinely selfless friend Zoro is. They trust him because they know he only has the best interest of the crew at heart. Also, Zoro is not one to talk frivolously or challenge his captain for the sake of it. If he's voicing reservations or opposition to an idea, that's going to have extra weight to it.

The problem with this reasoning is it assumes just because there's no "vice-captain" label, it means Zoro's no different from the rest when he outright assumes command in Luffy's absence. It's contradictory to the notion "Zoro's not an authority figure."

Zoro Worshipper
If Luffy died and the crew didn't disband to still fullfil his desire to find the One Piece Zoro would totally take the charge, also because he's the second oldest member to have originally joined, not just cause he's the strongest and the man Luffy met first.
