It's that the cover itself doesn't aim to depict the first mates but the second strongests
In fact in the live action Oda approved Zoro to be the first mate

Even in his vivre card, his official title is just combatant, and it says he only acts like a vice captain at times, meaning he isn't actually the vice captain.
Now you're using random shit from a non-canon live action...not surprising given that you invented toy scaling and height scaling lmao, you'll use anything as long as it supports your agenda.

With how much he bluffs his way to the top and with his lies coming true it wouldn't even be too too crazy. We had sogeking and now god usopp. The only thing i can see being an even bigger deal to usopp himself is the wg thinking he's the vice captain. If he ends up leading the grand fleet by the end with his 8,000+ man army even better. If he ends up getting conquerors too 🛀
Their are obvious stronger strawhats especially with usopp likley to stay the weakest. As well as other strawhats with more experience leading with jinbe and brook being vice captains in the past even. Leading their crews after their captains passing. But either way it would be really cool if usopp got the title. Plus he's luffy's bestfriend

Sanji has as much connection to being the vice captain of the Straw Hats as Zoro has to being the person with the greatest sense of direction in the series
Zoro is
- Luffy's right-hand man
- The Straw Hat Pirates's N2 after Luffy
- The Straw Hat crew's first mate (first mate is basically the same as vice captain)
- The evident parallel to Silvers Rayleigh who is the Roger Pirates's N2 and first mate/vice-captain (and Roger Pirates/ Red Hair Pirates/Straw Hat Pirates are the same exact thing in terms of structure)

Did Usopp lead part of the SHs? No. However, Sanji did back in DR when he took the rest to Zou so yeah. It makes sense I would bring Sanji as he took leadership role within the crew. Does that make him the vice captain? Fuck no, but does that help him getting included in the convo? Yes. So I would bring Sanji and who ever I want so stop whining cuz the name Sanji triggers you as well.
