What do you mean Luffy and Zoro? Only Luffy has fought Yonkos and Commanders Post Timeskip. And the strawhats arent too weak, Oda just needs to keep the crew together and write more arcs like Wano, Enies Lobby, Alabasta, ext... that require the characters to fight and overcome obstacles. Every strawhat is capable of growing in battle they just need to be in the position to do so. You would think after an arc like Enies Lobby people would learn by now. Even if the characters were portrayed a certain way before,

Matchups will happen regardless and the characters will be how strong they need to be when it matters most.

I think however that his haki is still basic overall, he can improve it a lot

1) Emission Haki - Admirals, sentomaru, Boa sisters, Hyogoro, Kawamatsu, Roger, Whitebeard, luffy are confirmed users.
2) Internal Destruction Haki - only luffy and ray are confirmed to use it.
