Chapter Discussion One Piece Chapter 985: New Onigashima

Kinda still hoping the "Ace" exists somewhere. Its probably a long shot at this point, unless Kaido or Yamato are considered as such, but what is weird to me is how the rank is just missing currently in Kaido's crew.
Hell, we get so many "Ace" references via Luffy's brother, but not the actual ranking

After reading this chapter my thoughts about that entire ZKK topic:
I was one of the people believing that Zoro will also fight Kaido but he won't kill him. After this chapter... I'm not that sure about that anymore. The ZKK squad may really be right about this one.
Aside from that, chapter was great.

This chapter was the best chapter of Wano Arc outside transition chapters between acts.
I have so much to said about it so let me throw some stuff out there.
Also almost forgot to mention that we have to wait for official translation to better gasp what was really said.
1.Orochi
-no one has predicted that Kaido will be the one that’s will kill him.Is he really dead? For me as right now he better be dead, but there is high change that he survive.
How? Probably because of his DF, if not kanjiro (i hope Kiku killed him and he is dead too)
-if he is alive, i don’t know what is there even left for him to do.
will ODA make him a good guy? probably NO. Will he join someone else? I can see that, but who? BB???
-if we see his DF in next few chapter then he is 100% dead. And only question remains who will eat his DF? My money is on Yamato(no Orochi) but could be someone else at that point
2.Kaido&BM
-there alliance will definitely bring back some past memories of Rocks Pirates. I hope their alliance doesn’t end in next act, that will mean that Kaido is going down this arc. What i think is still too soon and here is why:
1.Hawkins prediction is still 2 weeks away
2. they just announce that they are going search for ancient weapons(probably poseidon)
3. Kaido since begin what’s this big war against WG, so i don’t think Luffy&co stop this alliance right away with BM not betraying him
-if Luffy&co wins this war on first try will look like every other arc and Oda won’t fulfil his statement that this arc will be better than marine ford or has surprise ending like was said by one of his editors. So for me ending of Wano arc must be a shocker like Kaido&BM winning the battle but not full war.
-i am only curious about BM pirates what will they do?(Perospero)
3.Yamato
-I'm still skeptical about her but i really hope she isn’t pudding 2.0
For me is still weird that Kaido trust her so much. I think there is special bond between her and Kaido, i have just this weird feeling, but i hope i am wrong
-if not she is definitely primary candidate for SH
4.Law
-he is missing in this chapter he was with neko&co when we last saw him. Where the hell he went?
5.Momo
There is only one question about him who will save him if not he will die and that will probably be tragic end of act 3. My money is on Stealth Black.
6.Will marines come to wano?
Short answer yes. When? I don’t fucking clue. Maybe they are already there with help of x-drake.He is definitely betraying Kaido.
7.Future of arc
At this point Oda is setup for amazing arc lets hope he delivers(i know he will).Honestly i don’t have clue what will happen next because this chapter changes everything that we knew past 80+ chapters.
One think is for sure raid in onigashima is going down, there are going to be some fight there.
One think that i suspect to happen that someone will betray Luffy&co(kaido ace card probably) and that will leave them to lose this battle.
Man i have still so much to said but i think this is enough for now

Chapter 10/10 Translation 2/10
What reservations do you still have? I know she basically asked Luffy rather than the other way around, but I reject the notion that there’s a set pattern any new recruits must follow. Not saying you’re someone who believes that, but a lot of motherfuckers around here think there are criteria for who joins past a) having a dream they wanna achieve, and b) helping Luffy bring the arc’s big baddie down. When you look at how every other Straw Hat has joined, there’s absolutely no consistency between each one, so the people who cling to that as proof that Yamato isn’t gonna be a nakama are grasping at straws.
