General & Others Seems like Oda completly forgot about Sentomaru

admirals are just durable asf cause of their logia powers
You really are retarded my friend, the context of the scene is clear, and no blood nor bruises were shown on Kizaru in the following close up panels. About the Admirals durability, Jozu did great bleeding Kuzan when others failed, including Marco Vista and Yamato
Even Nika failed before managing a couple droplets from that squeeze
But here you are thinking Sentomaru bled Kizaru like a pig even when he the following context says it was a futile attack

Sentomaru didn't ask to Leave, He isn't a Pirate, why would He stick with Straw Hats?
And if He wanted to go by himself, He would have done it when Island was Evacuated before Marines came
He just wanted to help Vegapunk, and He knew He gonna get Captured & take Responsibility for his Actions
He didn't say He stopped being a Marine, He simply made a Choice & He is Man enough to accept the Consequences

Luffy is laughing his ass off while the man he promised to protect is dead. Oda has lost the plot for a while now
This has honestly been a huge problem with this climax. This escape has only been possible through the supporting cast's sacrifices including the individuals the SHs explicitly set out to protect through the whole thing. Yet you can barely feel the weight of their failure here with how much Luffy is joking around. Whole Cake's climax gets a lot of shit but it was easily far more successful in selling the desperate situation the crew found themselves in from their reaction to Pedro's suicide bomb to their reluctance to let Jinbe and the Sun pirates hold the rear guard.

Hope the Straw Hats at least come to the realization that they have been completely carried through this battle once they settle down on the ships and face the reality of how little they have actually accomplished because after Luffy went out and said this to Sentomaru, the narrative acknowledging this failure is the best we can hope for for them to save some face.

i wont really call 4 drops bleeding like a pig :jay-yeah:

this is a better example
The Lucci panel is savage can't compare it to anything else lol
Anyway, Oda draws random shit like this, context and following panels, and Admirals in general not bleeding to far more powerful opponents, make it obvious these are so scribbles not blood

Oda discarded him and Kizaru to make way for the 5 Gorosei running around which is honestly quite a shame, both Kizaru and Sentomaru were quite entertaining even if Sentomaru isn't the most important character in the long run. Granted, at the start of the arc he's only Robert's victim among some other minor points, his confrontation with Kizaru and his student-teacher relationship to him was simple and well done IMO. Obviously he stands no chance against Kizaru and the main purpose of the whole fight is to show that Kizaru means business, but his resolve to fight his teacher head-on to protect the man who saved him from when he was just an orphan bum makes him pretty solid-- even though he's an extremely minor part of the story. At least he didn't overstay his welcome like other far worse characters!

Oda gave him the quite the gas at this part though :fransuper::fransuper::fransuper:
