Mihawk's relevance matters as little as X-Drake's as far as it concerns One Piece. Mihawk can't fail at one thing i.e., at being WSSM. As long he lives up to his title, the other characters can take all the relevance he has, and it doesn't matter.

I know you and some others are downplaying the Gorosei and even Mihawk for not being mentioned in this section here.

But these characters are either confirmed to be the ones going after the One Piece or all of them will be fighting over the One Piece.

Mihawk doesn't care for the One Piece at all, and the Gorosei don't care either, the Gorosei are basically Imu's top underlings.

Imu will be the most important one, meanwhile the Gorosei will be the Calamities/Sweet Commanders of Imu during the final battle against him.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that the Gorosei are still important to the overall series, but during the fight for the One Piece, they won't be that important anymore especially if they get defeated by characters like Zoro and Sanji.

Pirates aren't owed any fairness, if Weevil is gonna cause trouble, and GB deemed this method the least troublesome. More power to him, man did his job efficiently.

It was hallucinogenic gas, both Kat and Oven are not seen using haki or df in that exchange. This isn't exclusive to Kat in that scene.
