I really thought Oda would end this arc with a big bang, just as awakened Kizaru holding off the Gorosei out of remorse and teasing logia awakening or something, but it looks like it will end next chapter with Emeth doing whatever he needs to do and again going for some joyboy monologue, that carries no emotional weight whatsoever.

Still have my hopes up for Kizaru. You never know, but....

Because of all the stalling, of the Nika stuff, that the Gorosei aren't that interesting as antagonists, Luffy vs Kizaru that wasn't that good, of Vegapunk's speech that takes too long and doesn't reveal much that we don't already know ?

There's quite a lot to be frustrated with this arc, though it has yet to reach the levels of cringe, disappointment and frustrations of the second half of WCI and of Wano.

And I take back what I said, so far none Gorosei show me to be able to even beat Kaido. Any of these characters above is and will be above any Gorosei in the future.
