True, but in this case we are talking about the very first presentation scene of a new Admiral. An extremely imporant scene and also a very "big one": the sword Is readily apparent and not some tiny background detail.

Furthemore, there are about zero chances that people, just like us, didn't notice the sword and didn't ask Oda in the SBS of the volume.

To summarize, I think It was too important of scene and too big of a datail to make a mistake twice. Also, there Is another scene too in which we can see the sword Is not white. It was way less clear, but still:



That should raise the number of errors to four, and all in the same sense (drawing the sword black and not white).

It looks much more like a sheathe in the third one tbh
But, yeah, it likely wasn't a mistake. Even though it's possible he could have done it since:
One: He did it with Luffy's fist in 1045 (punched Kaido through his head and his fist was shown as white instead of black at first)
Two: He was having eye problems at the time of Aramaki's introduction, at least it seems like it.
So I mean, it is possible he drew it wrong, but then it's like you said: Why did nobody tell him and make him correct it for two years?

And at least that punch was corrected in the volume.

This thing Is already a mess. I just hope Oda will clarify It and that will be It.

I had forgotten to talk about the colored manga, but that too Is not reliable. For example, they got all worng other marine's coloring:

Whatever happened with revealing CoC for characters, like Sengoku? We've already seen Garp in action, yet people still arguing if he even has it, Vivre Card could've solved so many headaches

At this point the only guaranteed way you have CoC in manga is if someone says you have it or if fodder are KOd around you after haki burst. Haki is such an ass system
