mihawk’s portrayal is being world’s strongest in swordsmanship
which is a fighting style used by multiple toptiers and mihawk is the strongest in that
I don’t really think being the fleet admiral is higher than that
and in regards to marineford
well that was akainu’s arc to shine since it was his introduction
mihawk didn’t even show a single named attack while oda had akainu show his signature and finisher attacks

True, he basically killed WB after getting sneaked and was still far far from done. Akainu was above WB in MF, I’m just giving respect to the old man. A sentiment that you guys aren’t capable of doing for non-Zoro related characters. Akainu was the most impressive top-tier by feats considering where we were at that point of the story.
What’s really interesting is that Mihawk wasn’t even treated like somebody special during the entirety of Marineford. No hype given or mentioned by anybody of note. Far from what you would expect from somebody of his stature. Instead Oda portrayed him as he would portray his run-off-the-mill warlord.
Like I said, Mihawk is the opposite of show don’t tell so far. He will get his due time but when you see out of pocket takes like Mihawk’s CoA by itself is enough for Akainu then yes he is overrated. The “top 1 in-verse” was ignored by every top-tier in the war of the best lmao.
