The only one who can beat me is me
I always flip flop between Josuke and Joseph
Although Josuke tend to have the edge cuz Joseph lost massive aura in part 4
It's the opposite for me, for a non MC role I expected him to do nothing but he was still constantly touted as the biggest threat by the main villain, and even given the final blow 😂

If there's one knock on Josuke, it's that he lowkey got overshadowed in some ways by a side character thanks to Jotaro. Jotaro was castrated and was somehow still given a pivotal role.

Edit: I read Jotaro not Joseph, my bad

Why such a low ranking for SC and Part 9?
Stardust Crusaders is ranked lower because, in my opinion, the series’ fight sequences can get pretty monotonous as the anime progresses. On one hand, it introduces Stands, a significant new aspect of the JoJo universe, but on the other hand, the series follows a repetitive 'enemy Stand user of the week' formula. Additionally, some characters simply fulfill their roles without much depth, which can be rather uninteresting. For example, Holy Kujo serves mainly as a plot device, and many of DIO's minions are flat characters with little personality beyond being greedy and sadistic. Even Jotaro Kujo, the main character, maintains a stoic persona throughout the series without showing significant growth or emotional range.

The JOJOLands (Part 9) is comparatively newer. Due to its recent release, the story and characters are not yet fully developed. As a result, there is limited character growth and relationships, and the stakes of the story are not yet well-established.

Jotaro's tough guy persona is just an act, but his emotional moments are subtle and/or off screen - he notices Holy isn't there to kiss him goodbye the morning she falls ill, clearly showing he looks forward to their little ritual even if he acts like he hates it. Like teenagers do.

And he goofs around with the boys, as we saw from the scene where Boingo (or Oingo) takes his appearance - Jotaro does cigarette tricks with Polnareff.
And him and Kakyoin sunbathing in their school uniforms might've been an unintentional characterization but it was still funny and made him out as a goof
