Why didn't WB, the dude called WSM, which absolutely encompasses mihawk too, not have a black blade?

We simply don't know how a kokuto is formed. But we know it's not just strength. Else Roger, WB, Shanks all would have had kokuto.
Yup, if any of those guys had a black blade then I wouldn’t even consider Shanks>Mihawk. Black blade forging just seems to be connected with swordsmanship and not just haki. Gives me the impression that all of these guys can still have stronger haki and swordsmanship can be separate. This new chapter just strengthens my belief, a haki nuke from 800 years ago…

To be honest, I think it has to do with haki affinity. If you're a CoA specialist, and much more attune to that Color of Haki, then making a black blade is achievable.

Oda didn't create haki affinities for no reason. People who specialize in a specific haki should be able to achieve things with that Haki class that others who don't specialize in it, can't.
I agree.

There Is probably some hidden reason, but overall It Is all centered on an incredible CoA mastery (and not so much about CoC).

There's a possibility that Luffy can just transfer haki to the rest of the crew and that's terrifying
So many have been saying it. The Nika crew is going to be a thing and its going to be pure cringe.
Hey, remember when it was revealed that Naruto and Sasuke were the reincarnations of two ancient figures? Like with the exact same personalities?
Is the concept of forging your own path becoming disliked by jump writers or something?

I'm wondering... where does the COC stuff for black blade even come from? I'm genuinely asking if I missed something
Me too.
Probably Is a mix of both that nowdays everyone and their mothers want to have some CoC feat (even though having a CoA feat that rare Is even better and cooler overall) and maybe the cursed sword thing.

Also we had at least two CoC experts, Roger and Shanks, that didn't forged a BB, so it's clear that CoC Isn't the main factor.

It’s more related to CoA because of durability and a swordsman’s shame in breaking their sword:

True, that was pretty telling.

Have a way easier time believing Mihawk has superior COA to Roger and Shanks than COC. It'd fit with COA being Zoro's main haki too.
Exaclty.
And I don't even say this to undermine Mihawk o whatever. I think he Is stronger than Shanks, but it's clear that Shanks and Roger more so have a better CoC.

On the contrary, Mihawk can very well have a better CoA. Maybe even a whole level better. Maybe Is a new level of CoA just like what we saw in this chapter Is a new level of CoC in some way.
