I’d agree if the exact quote wasn’t:
but since it was used in the movie, I have to use it now on the original work. Lol. It's true that a strange "reverse importation" has occured.”

this kinda points to it being that because of choices made in movie, canon has been changed.
Yeah, because now he doesn't want to contradict this information, but that was because he didn't think he would ever use Shiki in the first place.

Oda reviewed the script and was the executive producer of the movie, he had no issues whatsoever with allowing Shanks to KO VA's in the movie, you can cry, bitch and moan about that all you want but it'll still be true.

The story itself is non canon, each individual aspect of the movie though? That's up for debate.

Don't even know why ya'll are so pressed about this, how is it any different from some people considering Vivre Card's canon and others not? Oda literally has less involvement with those than he did with producing Film Red lmfao...

Keep it down man, enough yapping for the day

Regardless, Shiki is a canon character and has been since before the movie. However, because of the movie Oda changed his plans to ally with the canon it established.

He has a point. Just because the plot isn’t canon, that doesn’t mean that the writers have free rein to do whatever they want. If Shanks bringing Momonga to his knees with a CoC burst is so egregiously inaccurate to the canon, then there’s a good chance Oda would tell them to remove that detail from the movie. Haven’t you argued before that Oda actually cares a lot about powerscaling?

And then there's this Shanks stan desperately trying to make the movie canon :ohreally:

It's strange, Shanks haki was at such an absurd level that he could make Green Bull instantly revert from his giant tree form and put him into a state of shock, leaving him paralyzed. However, it was a concentrated Haki that specifically affected only one person and not everyone around? I mean, Shanks' Haki knocked out some of the rookies on his ship, but his commanders remained unaffected, even though they are weaker than Aramaki, and Kaido who were still stronger than Shanks.

Brother, it's just a movie. Why would Oda start short circuiting because the writers decided to glaze Shanks a little in a movie? It isn't that serious. And why would he give them liberties like that, only to instantly take them away?

That doesn't change anything at all, Shanks isn't any less capable of it in the eyes of Oda who was the executive producer and directly reviewed the movies script simply because it never actually happened in the current timeline.
Don't waste your time, they' ll never accept it lmao. Like all of this was a coincidence. Official material even not Canon sometimes has huge stuff, like Adv. Coc being a thing in videogames
