What is this thread really about?

Literally nobody actually pushed King or Kaido using real magma?

They are mentioned as magma-esque flames.
The author intent is to create distinction between regular fire versus the denser and hotter fire used by Kaido and King which is stronger and more lethal.

And we see it too, with Kaido's fire melting through rocks, which king's flames also did in the anime. Which is what magma is - molten rock + fire

They are obviously not actual magma, King and Kaido aren't pulling rocks outta their ass, they just produce thick hot flames which are of comparable heat/lethality.

Did King's flames burn even the hills or rocks?

Don't compare his puny flames to Flaming Dragon from Kaido

Genuine question.

You think full power King would get negged by GB, when he has combat speed relative to rooftop Zoro, physical strength superior to Zoro, armament haki that is at least roughly relative to rooftop Zoro. On top of magma-esque flames.

When Luffy couldn't stomp seraphim, which are Kid versions of king - without haki, with relatively poor CQC/skill, without ability to use flames offensively. Those clowns are purely carried by King's DNA, just less durable since they aren't adults (as per vegapunk).

If yes, why?

King being able to put up a fight to Greenbull isn't a downplay on GB, King is just that strong.
Just as how Marco being able to give a fight to Kizaru and BM isn't a slight on those characters, Marco is just that strong.
It's a downplay only if you think King and Marco are like Katakuri level lol.

King has good feats by keeping up with RT Zoro and overpowering him on few occasions but that's it. He is another gimmick fighter like Marco and Kuri, and he is an annoyance to top tiers at best. The moment King couldn't even rely on his gimmick, Aramaki quickly fodderized him. Even if King had his flame mode on, Aramaki still easily restrains him and there is no way King can prevent it, GB's vines are fireproof. Then he can bury him alive, I guess that's a fate worse than being punctured alive by vines.

Don't compare gimmick fighters to Katakuri

Katakuri is a great fighter who is well rounded
Having fs or countering his fs doesn't mean you outclass him straight in a battle
He's also smarter when fighting unlike King the background and Marco the loser

Not exactly. I believe Akainu doesn't have attacks stronger than Kaidou. After all, Kaidou attacks are supported by his immense Acoc, and of course, Kaidou can fly, which greatly amplifies his attacking power. I mean, moving a structure as large as Kaidou flaming dragon would already be impossible for Akainu.
