After thinking about it, I think this makes the most sense
Koby and Sabo play a similar role in the Final Saga as Kid and Law in the VS Yonko Saga. These guys are Luffy’s peers and rivals who will ultimately ally with him against the main enemy.
If the final Saga is anything like the Vs Yonko Saga, Luffy will only bring down one big player: Imu. Teach, much like BM, will need to be defeated by allies.
Koby and Sabo are the ones who will do it.
Koby inherited Garp’s will. As the marine hero he needs to stop Teach, the worst pirate, much like how Garp stopped Xebec.
Sabo on the other hand inherited Ace’s will. Ace was the first one we saw fight Teach back in pre skip. Throughout the post skip, the revos have had numerous run ins with the BBP. First Sabo vs Burgess in Dressrosa, then Teach invades Baltigo, then we saw the revo commanders beat Pinkbeard. Sabo vs Teach is the ultimate culmination of this.
Obviously other characters will have their run ins with Teach. Luffy will fight him in elbaf, just like he clashed with BM in WCI. Shanks will clash with him as well.
But ultimately Teach can only be the secondary antagonist in the final saga. The same role BM played in the VS Yonko saga. Imu will be far above him. We’ve already seen that joyboy’s CoC can negate DF powers and Imu’s haki is guaranteed to be even stronger than that. Basically meaning that Imu has a greater version of Teach’s strongest power(DF negation). Whereas Teach needs contact to negate powers, Imu can likely do it via wifi haki like Shanks.
To end this post. I remember back when it was revealed BM would come to wano. I remember exactly how much cope there was about BM and Kaido falling in the same arc. I remember the cope about BM leaving at the finale or betraying Kaido. I remember the cope about Kid and Law just stalling BM instead of beating her.
Don’t make the same mistake twice. I would like for Luffy to beat Imu, Akainu, and Teach. But for that to happen there would need to be like 3 more sagas instead of us being in the final one.
