People are addicted to Shonen manga because 1) they have anger problems 2) they live vicariously through the strongest character they can to gain self-esteem.
It's pretty obvious that the reason most people read these stories is because they want to pretend they are someone like Midora from Toriko when in reality they're a neckbeard living in mom's basement most often.
