General & Others Why Luffy doesn’t have a “Rayleigh”

#1

It’s pretty obvious luffy’s relationship with his crew is unique to the other emperors and theirs. It’s also different than Roger’s with luffy clearly not having a Rayleigh relationship with anyone in the crew. Rayleigh being put on a pedestal in comparison to the other Roger Pirates and the strawhats having no hierarchy beyond luffy himself. Tho zoro and sanji due to their strength do usually stand out more with them being tasked to protect the crew and take out strong subordinates when luffy himself can’t

With all that being said while luffy doesn’t really have a “Rayleigh” I do think zoro and sanji are there to fill that void together

Zoro and Sanji representing both Rayleigh and Gaban as well as Oden and Rayleigh
Zoro obviously being the Rayleigh + Oden and Sanji the Gaban + Rayleigh in this case

Same with the beast pirates
Zoro and Sanji representing both king and queen as well as Yamato (oden) and king
Zoro obviously being the king + Yamato and Sanji the queen + king in this case

Beckman more likely than not being a mix of zoro and sanji same way Rayleigh and king kinda are

Similar case with killer and bepo. Tho it being a lot more obvious and in your face with killer lowkey being the closest to a zoro + sanji fusion. Sharing similarities to both characters

Also yes Zoro is stronger and more special than Sanji. Which is why I compared him to oden and Yamato and compared Sanji to gaban and queen

Strawhats operate a two tier hierarchy.

There's the captain, and then there's everyone else.

The SHP don't have equivalents, just people with similar skillsets and demeanours.

Yeah they’re definitely unique and obviously aren’t exact copies of any other crew but I do think there’s a type of pattern

Like the way zoro and sanji mirror both king and queen + Yamato and king
Along with the way killer is basically deadass a mix between the 2

It ain’t that complex
Yes zoro is stronger than sanji
:sanmoji:

Not terrible actually, Rayleigh is shown to be both a swordsman and a footman as shown against Kizaru

And his personality is pretty much a blend of both Zoro and Sanji
Yeah pretty much

With Zoro having traits from both ray and oden
Sanji with ray and gaban

Them being even more special than just Rayleigh and gaban. Same way they’re more special than king and queen

This is some insane cope just to take away from the obvious fact that it's Zoro, and this was established so long ago, even back to the whole usopp drama of him leaving the crew and zoro having to tell luffy to act like a captain. And saying Usopp can't come back until he apologizes

The reason Sanji got involved was an emotional argument, telling luffy he shouldn't say something he regrets to Usopp, this has nothing to do with the dynamics of the crew, but rather a more personal engagement with Luffy.

Luffy doesn’t have a Rayleigh
Zoro being the strongest subordinate does not make him the Rayleigh

Zoro is not any more important or relevant to luffy than any other member of his crew
Zoro’s opinion isn’t any more important than any other members either. He has no actual command over any of them. If it was up to zoro they wouldn’t have went for nami or sanji after they left the crew
Jinbe has moments where he’s leading or advising luffy and the crew. That doesn’t make him the vice captain

Rayleigh, king, beckman, killer, etc aren’t zoro. They’re all different characters

Same thing way zoro can have similarities with both king and Yamato he can also have similarities to Rayleigh and Oden
Just like sanji can have similarities with queen and king he can also have similarities to gaban and Rayleigh

Y’all somehow interpreting me saying zoro is even greater and better than Rayleigh and king by also comparing him to oden and Yamato as zoro hate or slander is just beyond brain dead
