Elbaf is just the name of their island.

Elbaf has always been the name of the Giant's deity. Its not just the name of the island.

This isnt the only time its mentioned. Its mentioned several times during Little Garden and even Enies Lobby.

Even Luffy shits on this God, almost making it sound like Elbaf is antagonistic.
