I hear you, I thought the same for FS and Snakeman's angles landing attacks, but Kizaru just waved it off...I wish Oda cared about the abilities but whatever he wants to draw in the moment takes precedence.

Oda was a Launch fan from og Dragon Ball.

When Toriyama just wrote her off in DBZ, oda swore vengeance. He swore that he would NEVER kill off characters and to always stretch the story too much. always bringing back irrelevant characters from thousands of chapters ago.

How can advanced armament alone block advanced Conqueror's + armament?

It also got blocked by DF alone.
CoC coating is not that incredible.
Kaidos CoC got broken by CoA or pure brute force.

Meh he blocked the initial adCoC kick from Base Luffy, Snakeman def packs more power, but I'm having doubts that Luffy didn't use adCoC now. I think Oda just not bothering to draw lightning in panels where the attacks won't do anything, only way to explain the gorosei situation as well. He def used adCoC on them atleast once, Oda just didn't care for visuals.

Thing is, in the same arc, Garp was seen throwing punched with massive lightning and even Zoro's attack which ended Lucci ended up with an outburst of CoC. And as you pointed out, Luffy's initial kick also had black lightning in it, as did the White Star Gun. Just claiming Oda was too lazy to draw the black lightning in Snakeman is just granting Kizaru a power level he has not proven to have.

Snakeman is a lot harder to draw, genuinely. Think Oda was just too lazy that's all, panel was super ugly to begin with. I was willing to accept adCoC not being used, but a lack of lightning being used against gorosei pretty much told me, yea it's simply Oda being too lazy.

The Garp, Zoro, and also initial base Luffy kick all were impactful scenes, so the lightning was highlighted. That's my takewaway, in throwaway panels where Luffy's attacks were not going to amount to anything, Oda isn't going to bother, otherwise it makes no sense for Luffy to hold back ACoC against indestructible beings, he admitted he can't damage em.

Oda made Kizaru acknowledge that Luffy was very strong and that he can understand how he managed to beat Kaido
