Kizaru was not caught off guard when luffy semi KO him .
The man attack luffy then get counter attack and had enough time to pay attention to him that is not catching someone off guard .
In fact Kizaru did not even do any damage to luffy with his light speed since luffy blame the damage from the barrier and that was G4.
Luffy took a beam to save VP and had no damage again .
Luffy was not really using ACoC or when he hold kizaru and Saturn he was fast enough to dodge both of there attacks in giant form at close range so it easy to come up on with hypotheticals on both sides for what you want .
Also thinking that luffy would not be able track Kizaru speed is crazy even as a hypothetical since old man ray and even dying WB did it and thinking that Kizaru would be able to fly away and attack G5 luffy all the time is crazy talk .

Luffy was spinning in place and used it to give himself an attack speed boost. Kizaru was looking at Luffy with a "?", showing confusion.
When Luffy himself screams in pain from Kizaru's haki kick Im pretty sure it hurt. The kick itwlf knocked Luffy out of Snakeman.
Luffy himself said the laser burned and that was with his toon force
Luffy was only able to grab Kizaru cause he had his back turned chasing Sanji and Vegapunk. Luffy couldnt land a clean hit in a 1v1.
Luffy was literally shown, on panel, unable to react to Kizaru. WB didn't react to Kizaru's speed, but attacked him before he moved and that was clearly on panel. Ray reacted to Kizaru's Yata no Kagami which literally creates a travel path of light to bounce off sold surfaces.
