- With Luffy busy Zoro was the only one capable of taking on Lucci (Jinbei gets benefit of doubt). The rest dont get defeated, they get murdered.
- Simply because he lacks direction and they had a time limit to escape
- Zoro saved the rest from dying against Nusjuro previously. Except Luffy none of the rest could do anything against the Gorosei. We saw Sanji and others vs the much weaker Saturn
All in all Zoro showed that only the top 5 VA + exceptional talents like Coby or Grus can stall him for a period of time. I’d say only an admiral can hope to defeat him. Lucci was rated highly by VAs pre-timeskip. Lucci himself thinks he is close to Kizaru. Beating him without any significant injuries is a mad feat, Zoro didnt go life and death as with King.

Kaido’s philosophy with life and death felt like it had potential to give him more depth.

His relationship with Yamato, his fucking daughter 😅… could have been more fleshed out.
Kaido turned out pretty much one-dimensional in the end, pretty disappointing. He could have arguably been the greatest villain in OP with his feats if he turned out more interesting than what we got.

Luffy's effective damage at the end of this arc is so crazy low for how often he had to go to G5, damn.

Punk Bonney and kuma ended up going with us to elbaf wonder what’s going to happen to them
I don’t imagine all 3 will actually join the crew but they would fit roles we’ve seen other crews have
Ship guard and pirate apprentice are actual official roles we’ve seen characters have
- Bonney on paper would make a perfect apprentice to luffy. Basically being a mini him
- Kuma if he wasn’t dead would also be perfect. He did it during the timeskip already. His fruit finishes the fruit pattern
