As Polar mentioned, voting leads to information, u get reactions from ppl by voting, for example scum gets active and tries to move the votes away from their teammates if theyre getting voted up, they might get defensive if voted. Town has no reason to be defensive, they solve the game by doing smth, and only way to actually do smth is by voting and not wait for 'information' to be posted.

If u played any vanilla games yet ud know the overall basics of town, ofc everyone reacts differently to certain situations.
