The issue with GB sword is he was using blackened haki at the time so that means there is a high possibility his sword was coated in haki like his fingers.

People can't just dismiss that just because they won't GB to have a black blade.

And when he was walking through Wano with his hands in his pockets but his sword still black?

Though with Aramaki it's a different matter because his blade is black in the manga. It's not a matter of info but just illustration/colour. Toei decided with white, now in the VC his blade contradicts toei's colouring and aligns itself with the manga.

In that same scene we could see more of the handle than the blade. I guess the sword was broken by King.

The sword looks dark because of the shadow cast by his coat. That's why he has lines across his arms to represent that effect.

I just assumed Oda had nothing or very little to do with databooks or vivre cards alike. These cashgrabs are just something for fanatics, reiterates stuff from the canon source is all. With maybe some cool extras sprinkled here and there.

The making of the vivre cards (flavor text, layout) are made by a third party, but the info the company get to fill these cards (character age, height, their haki, name/rank of their weapon when we get them, trivia like favorite food or more info on their background/chronology of events related othem) are given by Shueisha/Oda. This is how they get Oda's early drafts featured in each character card. The coloring comes from Shueisha too.

What completely useless though are the flavor texts that mostly just repeat stuff seen in the manga with some forced hype
