It's not about advantage or not.

Town will always be uninformed and will lack co-operation in compared to scums. No amount of consideration during game mechanics can change this.

When you merge and players actually know about this then it just not in the spirit of the game.


Merger should simply be avoided and let game play in the spirit of multiple factions against each other

You're not parsing what I'm saying. The game was designed with the merge in mind and balanced for that here, it's a complete non-issue.
